  Do not rent at Colony Oaks. I was only there for three months when a fire started in the utility basement of my building. This was not caused by any resident, it was solely on the property and their maintenance. Eighteen units were displaced due to fire and smoke damage, including mine. They provided no help in removing our salvageable possessions from our apartments and simply told everyone to find a new place to live and to go through renters insurance to replace all of our damaged things. For the 18 units displaced they could only offer 2 available apartments on the property, everyone else was on their own to move out. Throughout the whole ordeal I was never contacted by the leasing office staff or by property management. They clearly showed no concern for their residents. All the information I got was from reaching out to ask questions and I received very defensive responses. I strongly urge anyone looking at this property to move on.
